USB HID Input Channel

Available on macOS

Description

Input channel on a USB HID Device. Typically, a channel corresponds to a specific input (e.g. key, button, joystick axis) on the device.

Appropriate values for the usage_page and usage parameters can be found in the HID Usage Tables. However, in many cases, an easier method for determining the correct values is to set the device’s log_all_input_values parameter to YES, exercise the input(s) of interest, and record the usage page and usage values reported in the corresponding log messages.
